As the largest manufacturer of Stainless Steel Protective midsoles for safety footwear in North America, Swenco Limited currently supplies virtually every Canadian Manufacturer of Safety Footwear with our Steel-Flex® midsoles and our numbers are growing constantly in the U.S market.

During the last 40 years, through a program of constant research and development, we have supported the footwear industry both domestically here in Canada and Internationally by providing well designed, high quality products to suit specific needs of the industry.  With this reputation we have developed a solid presence in both the Canadian and the U.S.markets, supplying:

to companies such as Terra, H.H.Brown, Baffin, Kodiak, Genfoot, STC, L.P.Royer, Boulet, Tatra, Canada West, Red Wing, Falcon, LaCrosse, Danner, Norcross, Bata, Carolina, Weinbrenner, and Wolverine. As we continue into the new millennium, we are looking forward to adding to our success in the European (Panther and Totectors) and the Austral-Asian (Blundstone) markets.

 With respect to safety standards, every footwear component manufactured by Swenco Limited has met or exceeded any applicable standard for quality and durability.  Our largest line of footwear components, specifically, all of the Steel-Flex® sole plates manufactured by Swenco Limited meet or exceed all of the existing world standards including ASTM Z41, CSA Z195 M92, DIN and the new CEN European standards. As the only safety midsole manufacturer in the world to have achieved the honoured quality system status of "Category Certification" with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), we are in the unique position of having the largest selection of "certified and approved" midsole styles/sizes in the world.  While there are other midsole manufacturers in various markets, their library of "CSA Certified and Approved" styles is limited to a single or small number of specific style ranges.  We currently have 28 style ranges approved that include over 185 sizes.  This range covers existing customer requirements for every type of footwear manufacturing from Goodyear Welt to Direct Injection Polyurethane, and rubber and is unmatched in this industry. We are adding style ranges and sizes on a continuing basis as our customers needs and style requirements evolve.
